AUGUST/SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
Hello EMAA,
Where has the summer gone? In between the back to school open house and back to school shopping rush that’s the question I find myself asking.
After three great shows, we are starting to make plans for the biggest party of the year, with the best friends we could ask for, the end of the year banquet! That being said, we encourage everyone to check out Gait Keeper to double check point totals. Also, don’t forget to get those nominations in for year end awards like the Darin Miller award or the A-Ok youth service award.
There is an abundance of banquet information that needs to be passed along. First of all, the banquet will be held on December 4th at the Holiday Inn Flint Banquet Center and our theme is “Prom Through The Ages”. Tickets will be on sale at the last show; adult tickets are $25, youth age 5-12 tickets are $15, ages 4 and under are free. Make sure to get your tickets purchased before the October 15th cut off. If you are interested in helping with the banquet see Dani Maser to join the banquet committee.
We still have three lost/found items; a belt (size Small) from EMAA 1, number magnets from EMAA 2, and a children’s nylon hoodie (size 5) from EMAA 3; see pictures for identification and let us know if these belong to you.
I hope everyone is finding time to prepare for the last EMAA show of the season while getting kids ready to go back to school. The youth fun classes will be everyone’s favorite individual and group costume. Don’t forget to get those stall and camping reservation forms turned in too. Let’s make this last show of the season a great one!
We are still looking to fill our secretary position on the board feel free to drop a email to any board member if you are interested!
